7 minute clip from DEEP SPACE NINE

A very moving scene from the late 20th century tv series. Season 6, “Far Beyond the Stars” Plot: Captain Benjamin Sisko and much of the crew of the space station loose their24th century visuals and become the crew of a 1950’s sci-fi pulp factory. Lovable 24th century changling, Odo looses his face-putty to become the hard-nosed manager many of us have come to scorn with deep passion. Sisko becomes Benny, the one “colored” writer on the staff. Benny starts the scene after recovering from severe beating by the city’s police. –Thanking Andronicus 1001–

As the script writer, Ray Bradbury said:

“I wanted to treat the invaders as beings who were not dangerous, and that was very unusual.”
